3-Day Desert Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga – Sahara Camel Trek & Desert Camp

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. Travel across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, passing through the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) with breathtaking panoramic views and traditional Berber villages. We continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages and a popular filming location for many international movies. After lunch, we head to Ouarzazate where we visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah. The journey continues through the scenic Skoura Oasis and the beautiful Valley of Roses before reaching the spectacular Dades Valley.

After breakfast, we travel through the dramatic landscapes of the Dades Valley toward the impressive Todra Gorge. Here you can enjoy a short walk between the towering canyon cliffs that rise to 300 meters high. We continue through desert landscapes and palm groves toward Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops. From there, we drive to the gateway of the Sahara Desert, Merzouga. In the afternoon, you will begin a memorable camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi while enjoying the spectacular desert sunset. Arrive at your Sahara Desert camp, where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and a magical night beneath the stars.

Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes, one of the most magical moments of your trip. After breakfast at the desert camp, return to the village of Merzouga by camel or 4x4 vehicle. We then begin our journey back to Marrakech, traveling through Agdez and the scenic Draa Valley, famous for its vast palm groves and traditional kasbahs. After passing again through Ouarzazate and crossing the High Atlas Mountains, we arrive in Marrakech in the evening, marking the end of your unforgettable desert adventure.
