4-Day Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour | Camel Trek & Sahara Adventure

Your journey begins with a morning departure from Fes. The first stop is the charming alpine town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its European-style architecture and cool climate.

Continuing through the Middle Atlas Mountains, you will stop at the famous cedar forests near Azrou Cedar Forest, where you may encounter the playful Barbary macaques.

The journey continues through the mountain town of Midelt before crossing the scenic Tizi N'Talghamt Pass and descending into the breathtaking Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and dramatic landscapes.

Passing through Erfoud and Rissani, you will arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon.

Here, you will begin your camel trekking adventure across the dunes of Erg Chebbi, enjoying a spectacular sunset over the Sahara Desert before arriving at your desert camp.

Dinner and overnight in Merzouga

Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, return to the village of Merzouga. Today, you will explore the desert region around Erg Chebbi, visiting traditional nomadic communities to learn about their lifestyles and cultures. Continue to the oasis of Tissardmin, known for fossil sites and desert landscapes. Later, visit the village of Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music, where you will enjoy traditional rhythms and hospitality. In the afternoon, relax at your hotel or explore the surrounding dunes before watching another beautiful desert sunset.

Dinner and overnight in Desert Camp

After breakfast, depart from Merzouga and travel to Rissani, an important historic trading town and former capital of the Tafilalt region. Continue through Berber villages and palm groves before reaching the spectacular cliffs of Todra Gorge, one of the most impressive natural canyons in Morocco. After exploring the gorge, continue toward the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its dramatic rock formations known as the “Monkey Fingers.”

After breakfast, travel through the beautiful Valley of Roses and continue to Ouarzazate, often called the Gateway to the Sahara. Next, visit the legendary fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous kasbahs, featured in many international films.Finally, cross the breathtaking Tizi n'Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains before arriving in the vibrant city of Marrakech in the evening.
